What is LipoDissolve?
LipoDissolve is a non-surgical fat removal treatment for body contouring. LipoDissolve enables individuals to precisely target and reduce stubborn pockets of fat that can make clothes difficult to fit, or cause a person's body contours to appear disproportionate.
How does LipoDissolve work?
Over time, pockets of fat develop in areas where we least want them, around our middle, the buttocks, thighs, arms, and chin. LipoDissolve uses a pharmaceutical compound called phosphatidylcholine deoxycholate, or PCDC, which is administered through a series of microinjections to permanently dissolve fat. After a PCDC is administered to the targeted areas, the fat cells absorb the PCDC, become slightly inflamed, and then harden. Within a few weeks the fat cells break down or are "melted" and are then expelled naturally through the body's immune system.
What areas of the body can be treated with LipoDissolve?
Spa 35 offers treatment for the upper and lower abdomen, buttocks, love handles, inner and outer thighs, lower buttocks (banana roll), chin/jowl (coming soon), upper back & bra strap, back of the arms, male chest, male pelvic area. Additionally, cellulite reduction is coming soon.
How long will it take to see results?
Results will vary with individual body type, physiology, and the area being treated. A series of six treatments spaced every 7 to 14 days apart is necessary to complete the treatment regimen.
Is there downtime?
With LipoDissolve there is little or no downtime. While some individuals experience tenderness which may require rest, most resume their normal schedule immediately following their injection. Vigorous physical activity or exercise should be suspended for the first 48 hours after treatment.
Is it painful?
There is typically some localized discomfort upon injection and a minor bruising sensation immediately following the treatment. Swelling will occur in the treated area, and soreness and inflammation may be experienced for several days after the treatment. As with any procedure involving multiple injections, localized bruising is probable.
Is it safe?
PCDC has been used in medical applications since the 1950's, it has been used cosmetically since the late 1980's to treat isolated fatty deposits on the face and body. To date, over 50,000 treatments have been performed with no serious side effects ever being reported. The use of PCDC is considered off-label by the FDA bust is widely used for its safety profile, much like the use of Botox.
Is the procedure permanent?
Each individual is born with a certain number of fat cells and after adolescence will not develop more. LipoDissolve will dissolve fat permanently in the treated area, leaving only a thin layer of cells. If an individual gains weight, the fat cells located in the non-treated area will naturally get larger. The treated area, however, will remain unchanged. Because LipoDissolve is an investment in an improved body image, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle with diet and exercise to avoid excess weight gain.
Will I lose weight?
LipoDissolve therapy is not intended for weight loss. While the procedure itself will dissolve fat in key trouble areas, the overall amount of weight lost is insignificant. LipoDissolve is not a weight loss program, but instead a body contouring program. Individuals undergoing LipoDissolve therapy will not see a difference on the scale, but rather in inches and a decrease in waist size and clothes generally fit better. Before and after measurements and photos will help you see the results of your treatment, and are a requirement of the treatment process.
How do I determine if I am a good candidate for LipoDissolve?
An ideal candidate for LipoDissolve is someone in good health, exercises regularly, is within 40-50lbs of his or her ideal weight, and has one or more areas of localized body fat deposits which have poorly responded to diet and exercise. Individuals who are beyond these parameters may still be candidates for face or neck treatments. Additionally, you must be at least 18 years of age to undergo LipoDissolve treatments.
How much do LipoDissolve treatments cost?
Treatable areas are divided into Cosmetic Zones. The cost for each zone is $2,000 for a series of 6 treatments.
